Ambassador Liu Jianchao called on Vice President De Castro

H. E. Liu Jianchao, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, called on Vice President De Castro.

Ambassador Liu conveyed to Vice President De Castro the greetings from his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. He said that considering the Philippines as an important neighbor China attaches great importance to the China-Philippine relations. Developing friendly and cooperative relations between China and the Philippines is of strategic importance to both countries. There is big potential and grand prospect for the China-Philippine cooperation. With mutual understanding constantly enhanced, the China-Philippine cooperation will make richer achievements. As the new Ambassador, he will make the utmost efforts to advance bilateral cooperation in all fields and to promote friendship between the two peoples.

Vice President De Castro congratulated Ambassador Liu on his new assignment, appreciated Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping for the cordial greetings, wished that Ambassador Liu could enjoy his career and life in the Philippines, and hoped that the mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure and housing could be expanded between the two countries.
