Chinese Embassy and Company donate school supplies to Joy Kiddie Center

On June 8, 2019, in celebration of the 44th Anniversary of China-Philippine Diplomatic Relations and the 18th Chinese-Filipino Friendship Day, representatives from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China and China Road and Bridge Corporation attended the Donation Ceremony to Joy Kiddie Center at Intramuros, Manila, and donated boxes of school bags and school supplies to the children.


Present at the even twere Mr. John Go Hoc, founder and president of Joy Kiddie Center, Counselor Xie Yonghui of the Chinese Embassy, and General Manager Ren Xiaopeng of China Road and Bridge Corporation Phil Branch.

In his opening speech highlighting the "everlasting friendship" between China and  the Philippines, Mr. Go Hoc described the relationship of the two countries as "friends who share happiness and bear sadness together."


Counselor Xie Yonghui praised the accomplishments of Joy Kiddie Center in saying that "it had changed the life of the many children and their families and  made this world a better place." Xie added, "China and the Philippines are close neighbors, friends and relatives separated only by a strip of water and our friendship dates back to many centuries ago. We have every reason to believe that China-Philippines relations will be moving forward with more progress."


Lastly, General Manager Ren Xiaopeng in his message said that their company is building a bridge over the Pasig river near Intramuros and they will take  more corporate social responsibility.  Their donation to Joy Kiddie Center is just one among many of their initiatives in helping "open the gates" for Filipinos.


One of the young recipients, Macryl Makakua, said she was especially thankful for the donations given to her and that it will serve as her motivation to study at  best university and major in Business Management in the future.
