Ambassador Liu Jianchao called on Hon. Prospero C. Nograles, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of the Philippines on 21 April 2009. They exchanged views on a range of issues including China-Philippines relations, commerce and trade cooperation and the issue of South China Sea. Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening Party-to-Party exchanges and also the exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries, and pledged to enhance practical cooperation in all areas and promote the healthy and steady development of their bilateral relations.
