10月6日上午9时30分，应菲律宾证券交易所邀请，刘建超大使为当天菲律宾股市敲响开盘钟声并致辞，吴政平经商参赞陪同参加。刘大使在致辞中表示，72年前成立的菲律宾证券交易所是菲律宾第一个证券交易市场，也是亚洲历史最悠久的证券交易所之一。5天前，中国人民刚刚庆祝中国人民共和国成立60周年，我们有信心加强与世界各国的互利合作，实现共同繁荣。希望更多的中菲合作企业能上市融资，祝愿菲律宾股市繁荣发展。刘大使还对当天上市的Century Peak矿业公司表示祝贺，希望该公司成为中菲两国矿业合作的成功范例。当天菲律宾股市收于2884.46点，上涨64.98点，涨幅2.3％。

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good morning!

It gives me great pleasure to visit the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), founded 72 years ago and being the first stock exchange in the Philippines and one of the oldest in Asia. PSE is a trading place where the heartbeat of the resilient Philippine economy can be felt. It is also a great honor and privilege for me to be here with you to ring the bells for the opening of the market today.

Today also marks the opening date of the shares of Century Peak Metals Holdings Corporation (CPMHC) to be traded publicly in PSE. Though the world is still suffering from a sprawling crisis, entrepreneurs with vision are facing up the challenges to grasp opportunities for business expansion. I would like to extend my sincere felicitations to CPMHC’s stockholders, officials and traders. Wish your business grow by leaps and bounds and sustain to be a successful project in furthering mining cooperation between China and the Philippines.

Just 5 days ago, Chinese people celebrated the 60^th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, and we have every confidence to reinforce cooperation and achieve common prosperity with the rest of the world, the Philippines in particular. In less than two-month time, a China-ASEAN free trade zone with an aggregate GDP as much as nearly US$ 6 trillion would be in position to benefit a combined population of 1.9 billion. We look forward to stronger economic ties between our two countries and further run of the bulls at the Philippine stock market! I also hope more companies with investment from China be listed in the PSE to maximize values for their shareholders.
